Texas Modern House Design Ideas by Dick Clark Architecture

September 17th, 2010 - Posted in Architecture
Here is another project from Dick Clark Architecture, City View Residence is a modern house design located in capital of U.S. city Texas. City View Residence is featured with wood panels and large windows on the ground floor, and glass walls on the upper floor, flooding the atrium-like two story living room with light. This house plan is very open, there are visual connections between living, dining and kitchen. The extensive glass living area, surrounded by large sliding doors invites guests to jump from inside to out, where ever the party may be. The material palette is minimal intentionally, as are the unexpected details – such as the floating bookcase slash art display millwork piece, which separates the public entry hall from the private bedroom wing.

At the first glance, the element that stands out is grandeur: a home of impressive size, with an eye-catching outdoor pool. But as one begins to check out its subtle design attributes, its impressive proportions start to lose ground. The building is a blend of modern design, sustainable elements and artistic decorations which contribute to a well defined personality.
