The creation of an Art market, is not only the creation of a shopping space, is a place where the artist and the people come together, where they meet, talk, exchange ideas. At the same time is a place where the artist can find inspiration, and livable working environment, where he can easily find his isolation, and concentration or meet others to widen up his horizon and increase his creativity. It is the creation of a microcosm, of a small society, a representation of different worlds clashing into each other.

Get inspired… The travel: from the Odyssey to the Moon, has always been a source of inspiration, dream, adventure. The story is about the creation of an art community that trough a floating travel along a river meet and exchange ideas, creativity, money and life with the different countries and cities and villages and landscapes that it will meet during his adventure. At the same time, the arriving of the market in the city, with the slowness of the current of the river, will create a big event activating commerce, interest and life!! The cultural exchange will be a continuous flow that will connect different people and places: the artist will receive and will give, is a new cycle that transform the art in the main conductor that will bring new life into existing spaces and will take inspiration from the different environments.

On an architectonic point of view the challenge was creating a comfortable floating sustainable space that can aggregate and disaggregate in consequence of the different situation. The travelling configuration has to meet some transportation and technical requirement, and at the same time guarantee the possibility for the artist to work and create. The open configuration instead has to be flexible to adapt to different harbour, city, piers and give good shop and display space. There are two kind of openable modules: one for the smaller shops/atelier, for the café, the administration and the service spaces that creates the core of the market in a kind of village/labyrinth configuration and the other module, the bigger one, that open in a kind of tentacle to reach the land. During the moving this elements aggregate together in a close organism, that provide protection and comfort.
