French designer Christophe Pillet created the interiors of the Hotel Sezz in Saint-Tropez, France.

Description By Christophe Pillet:
Architecturally, the interior of the rooms, almost houses themselves, rises up into a vast, lofty curve reaching 5 metres at the highest point and culminating in a huge picture window.

‘I played around with this mineral curve and I designed an extremely low layout, almost hugging the ground, so that I could expand and enhance as far as possible the sensation of space. There are natural stone floors and textured concrete walls, which bring much-needed freshness while the leather and wood of the furnishings bring warmth.

I took the huge picture windows and hung them with delicate, translucent net which gives some privacy. And yet, as it flutters in the wind, it catches the shadows cast by the nearby trees’.

Once space was mastered, enhanced, put in the spotlight, what was needed was furniture, furnishings... Beds, tables, seating… everything was designed specifically for the Sezz Saint-Tropez, to reflect its image, the core of its identity.

‘I wanted simple, elegant furniture, with a touch of the seaside resort. It had to be light, as if floating in space. Absolutely contemporary, with very clean lines, fine materials not flashy in any way. Furniture which has a clear place in history, in a particular period, and yet one that is timeless’, concludes Christophe Pillet.

Directions to the Hotal Sezz Saint-Tropez:
BY CAR
From Toulon (68 km):
Take the N98 in the direction of Hyères and Bormes-les-Mimosas. Just before Le Lavandou, take the N98 to the left towards La Môle (15 km) – Cogolin – Saint-Tropez.

From Marseille (130 km) and Aix-en-Provence:
From Marseille, go in the direction of Aix-en-Provence / Nice. On the A8 motorway, take the Le Luc exit to the A57 motorway, and then the first exit to Garde Freinet – Grimaud – Saint-Tropez.

From Nice (120 km):
When you are on the A8 motorway, go in the direction of Le Muy (exit 36) and continue on the D25 in the direction of Sainte Maxime – Saint-Tropez. In Saint-Tropez, follow the signs for ‘Centre Ville’ and ‘Plage des Salins-le-Capon, les Canebiers’. Once you are on Route des Salins, you will come to Le Moulin Blanc school.

Sezz hotel is approximately 600 metres after the school, on the left.
