At the 2011 Interior Design Show in Toronto, Canadian woodworking studio North on Sixty exhibited a collection of furniture they made from wood that had been reclaimed from an old barn.

From North on Sixty:
We actively seek the most beautiful wood from the most environmentally sound sources. It so happens that this approach naturally imbues our furniture with tremendous character. We're always building new styles, and as a result each piece is unique. This gallery shows only a fraction of our work, but should give you some good ideas should you be interested in ordering a custom piece.

We are often first contacted when someone who is considering moving or reconfiguring an existing space has seen our work - often at a friend's home. We start the process by offering (free of charge) an 'in situation' consult. This meeting gives the client the opportunity to convey their hopes, dreams and budget. In turn, we interpret and shed light on what is possible. Each project is inherently unique, but in every case our clients experience immense satisfaction at having that personalized space come together around them.

Design
We over-engineer our products. We employ impassioned craftsmanship and top-quality materials, without exception. We build things that will last, and last, and last - ultimately one of the most important elements of conservation.
Many of our design/build projects are also recognized for their ability to use space efficiently (allowing for a smaller physical footprint) and even use natural light efficiently (allowing for less electricity usage).
