Seabird Island is a large area of delta land in the Fraser River, seventy-five miles east of the Pacific Ocean.It is the home of the Seabird Island Band, a Coastal Salish community. Mountains of the Coastal Range tower over the river valley on all sides.

Bangladesh is a fertile alluvial land in the Gulf of Bengal and the land with the highest population density in the world. On average nearly 1000 people live in every square kilometre and over 80% of the population live in rural areas.

The school complex of Bailly is situated on a changing territory and is located on the starting point of the reconstruction of the scale of the district. The expression of the project is inspired by this specific context of the material used – glazed brick – and by the idea of the roof which give reference to the lanterns of the cathedrals.
