Kindergarten Kekec is an extension of a typical Slovene prefab kindergarten from the 1980s. Situated in one of Ljubljana’s residential areas, Kekec answers the growing demand for kindergartens. This comes as a result of Ljubljana having witnessed considerable population growth as well as legislative changes and a planned increase in building density inside the highway ring surrounding the city.

Portuguese architectural studio Spaceworkers has designed a Footpath and Cycling Bridge proposal for the competition sponsored by the city of Maribor in Slovenia within the European Capital of Culture 2012. The challenge was to create a Footpath and cycling bridge in a place where once existed the first bridge in this city.

Bled is considered one of the most important and beautiful scenes of the largest rowing events. In 2011, it will also host the World Rowing Championships, where spectators will cheer for the rowers from new stands in the finish line area. The renovation of the rowing centre was funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
