STAGE ONE:
The concept of the new
concert hall was designed with an assumption to create a perfect instrument for the Sinfonia Varsovia, and both its internal and external form reflects this idea. This association was translated into discrete language of the soft form of the facades and the entire urban composition of the complex. Similarly as the music instrument, the body of the main building is oval and pleasant to the touch, it competes neither with the wonderful tree stand nor with historic urban surrounding, it flows between the trees and the existing buildings adjusting to both scale and location.

The concert hall building subtly breaks the symmetry of historic assumption organically blending with the green areas, simultaneously underling the main entrance to the urban architectural complex. Due to such solution, it was possible to avoid the monumentality, which is here unnecessary, at the same time minimizing the scale of the building and achieving cozy, more mysterious garden character of the architecture.

STAGE TWO:
The main idea of the investment project was to create a unique architectural and park complex intended for both musicians and listeners. The main building with the concert hall and big rehearsal room has been situated at the back of the plot, in the place required by the nonbinding local zoning plan. The other functions have been located in the buildings A, B and C. Due to such establishment, it was possible to preserve the highest value of this area which is a unique historical park combined through its entire length with the neighboring Park im. Obwodu
Praga Armii Krajowej.

The
orthogonal geometry of
foyer entwine the irregular body of the building which contains both rooms referring to the scale of the adjoining structures. The foyer opens with large glazing to the park. The essential foyer projection is located on the axis of the palace establishment. Between the buildings B and C and the body of the concert hall there have been created intimate squares filled with the existing greenery. The main entrance to the concert hall has been located in the corner of the foyer in accordance with the direction of the guests incoming from stations of the municipal transport and parking.

Architecture of the main building is created by a transparent foyer entwining the greenish irregular body covered with perforated copper metal which includes the two concert halls. The shape and form of the main structure of the building comes from the shapes of the halls and analysis of external perspectives, including in particular the scale of existing buildings. Interior of the foyer has been made of warm color wood. Thanks to application of such materials the building will “disperse in” the park surroundings both in terms of color and finishing. Moreover, due to glass foyer the boundary between interior and exterior will be blurred, and by use of gentle patinated copper color the body of the concert halls will “blend into” the trees leafage. In terms of color, the whole will be completed by the fact that the roofs of all historic buildings will also be covered with copper sheet. Dimension of the foyer and its inner-storey divisions perfectly match the size of the buildings A, B and C. Entrance to the main building has been underlined with high two-storey arcade with external terrace directly over the main entrance.
