Clean House Design With a 75-foot Lap Pool – Jai House by LOHA

The Jai House is designed by LOHA as a study of the interaction between building and landscape. It sits on a gently sloping site overlooking the Santa Monica Mountains in California, USA. The primary level houses the main public spaces and acts as a buffer to Mulholland Highway. It engages the earth at one end and floats above the ground at the other opening up completely to the views and canyon beyond. A 75-foot lap pool slices through the building and marks the open air entrance. The upper volume, which is at a 90 degree angle to the lower level, houses the master bedroom suite that frames views of the mountains.
