This hotel and villa development is designed as an ecologically sustainable development. Located on the dry savannah landscape of the Bukit Peninsular on the dramatic southern cliffs of the Indonesian island of Bali, it comprises of a 50 suite hotel with 35 residential villas.

The site is located at Coles Bay on the east coast of Tasmania, and overlooks Great Oyster Bay, the Hazards and the Freycinet Peninsula.
Our brief was for a intimate luxury resort, of 20 private suites that was is intended to be a destination in its own right and mainly cater to inbound interstate or international – guests. It will provide for (and possibly create) a new high end tourist market in the state. Also important to the client was that the project had an iconic, highly recognizable form that also related to the natural site.

Swiss firm RAFAA architecture and design recently won first prize for their project 'the last resort',in a design competition organized by the internationale bauausstellung in germany. they proposed a mobile floating architecture focusing on movement and autarchy. as its name suggests, the project follows the strategy of a last resort and tries to challenge known and familiar concepts and show alternative ways of living.

In May 2010 a fourth French Center Parcs resort was created in the Harcholins woods, close to Sarrebourg, after a provisional contract between Pierre & Vacances, Center Parcs France, the Moselle’s General Council and the Lorraine Regional Council. This project stands out through an architecture where wood predominates, both in the structural elements and the façade coverings. Located towards the lower part of the site, at the edge of a spruce and larch wood, the buildings fade into the vegetation.
