The site with which we were presented was extremely challenging in that it was 90% covered in mature pohutukawa trees , the site being a part of a continuous belt of forest that edges the road along the beach front.

The Lawson-Westen house is located on an 80’ x 180’ suburban site on the west side of Los Angeles. The house is positioned on the north side of the lot, leaving the south side and west end as an “L” shaped garden.

The project is a collection of 15 stylish beach houses set in a pristine bushland setting. The site itself is just back from the beach and has stunning views of Port Hacking and Hastings Beach. What is unique about this development is that each house has been designed as if it were a stand-alone luxury designer home.
