Replay’s store on Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona now hosts a vertical garden of just above 100m2. In the storefront location, the two storey wall is set in a dramatic and playful environment with waterfalls, sculptures and contrasting materials.

Zaha Hadid Architects, a British architectural design firm launched by the world-renown architect Zaha Hadid, won an international competition to design the Čulenova project under development in Bratislava by the Penta Investments private equity group. Penta plans to build offices and apartments on a plot of land on Čulenova Street that it acquired in January 2008. The jury selected her firm’s proposed design from over 90 proposals submitted, Penta Investments announced on October 6.

The Opera Garnier’s first ever restaurant has opened in July 2011 and has become Paris’ toughest reservation. After three attempts over the last 136 years, Charles Garnier’s wish was granted and in his words, ‘a restaurant worthy of my Opera,’ has been completed.

The longest bench in Britain was opened to the the public in Littlehampton, West Sussex on the 30th July 2010. The bench seats over 300 people along Littlehampton’s promenade, overlooking the town’s award-winning Blue Flag beach.

Kuggen is nestled in among Lindholmen’s big office buildings, like a colorful blossom surrounded by gray leaves. Its form and color are not immediately revealed. The round building looks different from every direction.

The project had to face two preliminary constraints: a surrounding area burdened by the aesthetic and cultural tradition of the Spanish row-house concept and, on the other hand, the plot’s exposure to solar radiation during the hottest months of the year.

The house is located in a "typical" peripheric urbanization of Pousos, a parish of the municipality of Leiria. Situated east of the city and at high ground, it works as a sort of panoramic belvedere over Leiria.

The house is sited on the dune fronting Horderns Beach, at Bundeena, on the northern edge of the Royal National Park, on Sydney’s southern edge. It is a fragile place, commanding particular sensitivity from an architect.

The city of Belfort was planned to control the pass between the Jura and the Vosges. It’s pentagonal plan, was designed in 1687 by Vauban, completed and reorganised by the General Haxo from 1817 and on. The Fort Hatry where the sports and events arena of Belfort is located was one of the exterior bastions of this defence device.
